Integration Project: Ahmad Zargari

Project Overview

The objective was to transform the course IET 698, Research Methids in Technology, from the traditional method to a fully Internet-based online course via the Distance Learning and KYVU . Using multimedia software, instructional materials including Powerpoint presentations, video, and audio clips will be be accessible for online learners via the Blackboard site and course CDs.

The IET 698 is a required core course for the newly developed Master of Science in Industrial Technology. Majority of graduate students are non-traditional employed industrial personnel who need to earn an advanced technical degree via DL. Should this course be available via the Internet, it will provide access to a broader student population. The delivery of this computer-based research course via the Internet will enhance the learner's understanding of the topics presented. The purpose of this project is to prepare and post all instructional materials on the Internet in order to fully accommodate the needs of distance learners.
