PT3 Faculty Integration Grants

This application is to be used to apply for support and resources by those MSU faculty who have completed the Online Technology Integration Course (EDUC 599/620). These resources can include requests for reassigned time, personal stipends, and development money for project expenses. Usually, but not always, these funds are used to support individual MSU faculty members' efforts at revising or developing courses, or developing instructional materials in digital form that will be used as part of their coursework.

The resources that you are requesting via this application are over and above the $500.00 stipend that you will receive/have received for completing EDUC 599/620; you DO NOT need to complete this application for the $500.00 stipend. This grant is also independent from grants and stipends available through the Office of Distance Learning and other units on campus.

You DO NOT need to complete this application as part of the EDUC 599/620 course; it is not a course requirement.

You DO need to complete this application to compete for PT3 development resources that are intended to provide MSU faculty opportunities to incorporate what they learned in EDUC 599/620 into their teaching or program curricula.

Your Chair and Dean will be the first and second line of decision makers, respectively, about the status of your proposal. The PT3 Directors review the project only in light of its appropriateness and closeness-of-fit with the PT3 Project's Mission, Goals, and Objectives.

Recipients of PT3 funds will be expected to submit a 1-2 page report of results achieved upon completion of their Projects. Submit these to your Department Chair and a copy to the PT3 Coordinator. If appropriate, you are encouraged to include samples and examples of web pages, CD-ROMs, revised syllabi, student projects, etc.

We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis, so faculty may submit their applications at any time. However, be sure to submit early enough for the application to pass through all appropriate channels in time for you to begin your project as planned. We try to respond to proposals within two weeks of receipt.

The PT3 Grant program ends on May 31, 2004. All funded projects must be concluded and closed out by that time. Please take this deadline into account when planning your project.

Directions

1. Complete all the requested information on the form.
2. Click the "Submit" button. This will submit your information electronically to the PT3 Directors.
3. Your application will be forwarded first to your Department Chair and Dean for their approval. If they both approve the application, the PT3 Directors will consider the proposal for funding.
4. Before ending your session, print a copy of the Confirmation Page for your records.
