The ePortfolio initiative at Morehead State has progressed in several stages. The first, begun in Fall 2000, was to convert the existing Student Teaching portfolio required of student during their professional semester to a digital portfolio. To support students developing these portfolios, we offered the Student Teacher Technology Seminars at the start of each semester through Spring 2003. This fall, in response to student and faculty feedback, we have restructured support for the digital student teaching portfolio.
Based on the success of this first step, we hope to expand the student teaching portfolio into an ongoing and evolving document that teaching candidates develop over the entire course of their teacher preparation.
